"Women, Citizenship and Politics"
During the first decades of the twentieth century, many countries gave the right to vote to women, and, in 1979, the United Nations, through its Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, identified women’s suffrage as a basic right. However, from the local to the global level, women are still marginalised and underrepresented in political life, and their active and passive participation is often hindered by structural, cultural and legal barriers.
Chronica Mundi wishes to feature papers exploring women’s role and contribution to nation-building, politics, culture, society.
Manuscripts should be unpublished in any language and should not be under consideration for publication by any other journal.
All material should not exceed 8,000 words, including references and notes. Include an abstract of not more than 250 words. Manuscripts can be written in Italian, English or Spanish.
